I am a amateur nature and fine arts photographer who was trained in black and white photography in the early 1970's, worked professionally a bit and then set aside all artistic pursuits until about 2003. Fall Colors in the Adirondacks - 2006

It was not a fall with as dramatic color as last year, but still it was beautiful in the Southern Adirondacks. These were taken over two days in and around the Ferris Lake Wild Forest, just South of Piseco, New York.

The first three shots are of the East Canada Creek.

This next photo is of the Powley-Piseco Road, a seasonal dirt road that runs through the wild forest.

This final shot is looking South East from Rte 1o in the town of Arietta. The West branch of the Sacandaga River is in the foreground.
